A wise man once told be you don’t have to own professional lighting, a proper back drop and a digital SLR to take good photos.

Mum took these to work and had few people asking her where she got them done and how much it ‘set her back’, to their surprise, I did this with a shitty old sheet hanging from our lounge room door way, a baby who crawls away at every chance he gets, natural window lighting and an amateur camera.

These photo’s aren’t the best quality, I couldn’t resize them properly so I just zoomed out and screen printed them smaller. My internet connection doesn’t allow me to upload the larger ones, I could try but otherwise this post would would come to ya’ll months later.

So it’s day one of my new job and it’s awesome! I seriously felt like getting back on the train and coming home just because I was nervous, but it was actually fun and I had lunch with two new friends, one of which who was saying he’s favorite band was killswitch, and I was telling him how I met them and then he continued being amazed at my music taste as I didn’t seem like someone who listened to his shit, but there you go. There’s some other girl in our group, but she’s loud and semi annoying..I caught up with my old principal on the train, and then two ladies sat across from me, then four other feral humans were talking out loud about owning money for smokes and what there going to buy with their baby bonus, right there it reminded me of what Jess was saying about people buying weed and shit with the tax we pay, which is bullshit, really got to me how people can just bum of other peoples/governments money, I did since I quit the bowling alley for a not so organised move to geelong, but I think I can justify it, when I’m actually looking for work I couldn’t find a job anywhere in Ballarat and some people think I’m mad for traveling Ballarat-Melbourne everyday but at least I’ve got something at least I’m doing something, Jess is so right about it though, the amount of dumb ass fucks dodging off the system, anyway those two ladies, the first one had her laptop out I think she was a teacher and the other one was fiddling with her iPod, I think it might of been flat hence her not being able to block out the westies talking above average, so she left her seat to another carriage, then this other lady asked the westies to quiet it down a bit and then they swore at her and kept making fun at her for the train is not a ‘library’ after two solid minuets of them bagging this poor lady I stood up and said to them “stop being so rude to this lady” to which I got a reply of “she was rude to us first”, I said “she wasn’t rude I heard her say politely if you could quiet down” to which I got death stares, I probably shouldn’t travel alone I’m going to get hurt standing up for other people, I just couldn’t tolerate the way they were speaking to this lady especially after her politely asking them to be a little more quiet and guess what they got out from the station and as my boyfriend drove me out they were hopping on the Wendouree West bus, explains it all doesn’t it.

I don’t have to be at work until 4pm tomorrow, I think Andrew and myself are going to stay in a hotel up there for the night as a congratulations on the new job and happy birthday, it will be good just the two of us. I’m so excited to get back to work tomorrow!

I’ve had a good birthday thus far, I got money, a nice bracelet and from Andrew I’m getting a kitten/puppy when I decide I want a Bengal kitten way bad, but they get to big quickly, but they’re also leopard printed haha or a puppy that doesn’t grow very big. Nanna had a funeral today with mum and that, she was to bummed to go out for tea so I bought tea to her, we had pizza it was so good. I also got that job I went for and after some thinking and other peoples opinions I accepted it like it was nobodies business, I start training tomorrow 1pm-5pm and I’m going to download like a nigger tonight to have some watching material on the train, another advantage of an iPhone, being able to have videos on it I can now download and catch up on my tv viewing that I miss by being at work whilst commuting everyday, and weekends I’m going to love there guts when I have a full working week, I really hope it goes well and I like it and the staff like me cause there’s nothing worse than having hating co workers, truth. I haven’t heard from Liz all day which is unusual, I’ll leave that for another day. I’m not sure what I’m going to wear tomorrow, I thought I was under dressed for my interview, but I felt slightly over dressed, that’s about it from my semi not so exciting life. DIY day, cookies and Nanna’s knits.

Today I spent outside freezing redecorating a set of old draws that had been sitting outside waiting to be thrown out. So here I have a before and after..

I’m pretty happy with the finish, usually I start something and ‘finish it tomorrow’ but that never happens, stuck it out and finished it today however, I gave my other draws to my sister and the new ones are now sitting next to my bed, I love it I keep looking over to it haha, so that’s what I’ve wasted my whole day on. Boyfriend & Mum got called into work, I cooked myself the best tea and now my sister & I are cooking cookies, shit I better go check on them brb, back! there fine, except I wouldn’t call them ‘cookies’ more like the dough was to sticky to roll into the separate balls so we chucked all the dough on a tray and shoved it in the oven. Another boring Saturday for the books, but I’m content. Still haven’t finished twilight, compared to the others there is something not that appealing to me about Breaking Dawn, the other three I was glued to, I’m not sure if I’m just putting it off because I know it’s the end, I’m not that into it anymore or that it’s not as good as the other three? Anyway, here is the failed cookie, broken into pieces as my sister lifted it up.

and here I am, snug as a bug in this knitted jumper I scored for $3 at an op shop, purely because it’s the exact same as Nanna’s and everytime I’m chillin at Nanna’s and cold I chuck it on, she loves that I know have my own haha.

and that’s it, I’m debating getting out the sewing machine and waiting for boy to come home, I’m also hoping the fourth quarter is something collingwood will use well because I just checked the scores and I’m not happy, way to ruin my Saturday.

Right, there’s this house I drive past all the time on my way home, I used to know someone who lived there and it got sold, the buyers of this house shit me to tears. Only because they have no god damn curtains/blinds/lace/blankets that look really bad but some people put them up on their new home until there curtains are made/delivered/whatever, but oh my dear lord I know the inside and outside of this house because every night we come home there’s big uncovered windows with lights on and a perfect view of everything. It’s just like there asking to get stalked/broken into. Every time we drive past, I clench my fist in frustration! and tell Andrew either a. I’m going to buy them some fucking curtains or b. I’m going to write a note and leave it in there letter box telling them to get some god damn curtains! Why would you want people looking into your home?

Anyway, in other news I had a job interview today, in Melbourne how’s how I’ve been looking for jobs in this shit hole town and have heard next to nothing back from the positions, and then I decide to look in Melbourne thinking ‘eh, might as well try’ so I apply for this position and an hour later I get a phone call from a very enthusiastic HR manager for an interview tomorrow (tomorrow being today). The interview went well, originally it was reception at a call center but I had also applied for a ‘telemarketer’ position(for the same company) if I fail at reception, he was explaining the business hour shift I was applying for was full, but he wants to see if he can get me onto a already running campaign, which I was good with, I’m not saying no to $20-25 p/h it’s like between 5-10 more than the shitty bowling alley and I was running that by myself. So that’s pretty much it. Got home and bummed, went to Nanna’s for tea very mediocre mood there everyone was just tired & half asleep, home now going to either read or watch a movie, I have a very exciting life. Seems that all the entertainment in this town involves drinking and to be honest I’m over it, coming back from these amazing sydney/adelaide clubs to ballarat’s 21 arms is well quite frankly depressing. Tomorrow I’m going to re arrange my room, hit up my sewing machine and make stuff. How cool would it be to make a magazine full of stuff you made handed it around for people to take orders from, you know like Avon except for yourself, I could deal with that.

I might blog again later, I don’t think I’m going to get much sleep.

If you had to tighten your budget (or already have), what would be the easiest thing to cut?
Ha, I’m not sure. I don’t buy imported/expensive make up, I haven’t splurged on new clothes in over a month, we rarely eat out, I haven’t drank since Adelaide and I didn’t buy the alcohol anyway, I cut out soda from my life months ago and I’m hooked on water, wait I know now probably applications for my iPhone I guilt myself into purchasing books they can get up to $20 a piece maybe cheaper than an actual book, but it’s nothing I can’t scam off the internet for free anyway.

If a friend asked you for some new music recommendations, what would you suggest?
Coldplay? that’s not very new, but it might be to someone else. I’d also recommend The Beautiful Girls, Wolf Parade and British India, just what’s on my current playlist.

When was the last time you stayed up all night? What were you doing?
I was awake until 3am last night reading twilight, to the point where I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore.

What’s the best thing that happened to you this past week?
My boyfriends reassurance, in basically everything I’ve been doubting.

Describe your ideal weekend.
There is two options, weekend at home with boyfriend, dooner, central heating and consistent movies, knowing we have nothing to do at all, all weekend. That or Nanna’s house on a long weekend full with 45 other family members, good footy match, wood fire, bbq and just plain chills.

Today I, woke showered, treated hair, blow dried, straightened, moisturised, dressed, ate breakfast, read, played with Ryley, went to dads, watched a midday movie while dad & Andrew played in the shed, put fuel in the car, went to the op shop, went back to dads with lunch, opened the macbook with the following tabs, twitter/facebook/hotmail/seek/jseeker/myspace, applied for another two jobs, chilled with Ryley, went to Teaghan & Cuffys, snuggled with Jak, chilled with Teaghan while Cuffy & Andrew made the best tea ever (I don’t exactly know what it was, but it looked like something I wouldn’t eat and I didn’t want to, but felt rude not to and what do you know best meal of my life) watched tv chatted, turned on family fun night, kicked ass at Yahtzee and Boggle, failed at sorry & sorry sliders, checked the clock noticed it was 12.00am, came home. Now I’m blogging, obvy. I plan to kill twilight tonight, I’ve gotten through the first three books since two Thursdays ago.

Yesterday I went to re book my car to get gas on it, because we’d completely forgotten about it. The lady is lovelly, she’s like the next date we’ve got isn’t until Tuesday the 21st, I replied with “Oh, like in a few weeks, 2 or so?”…”no, next tuesday” I was stumped and had completely forgotten that next Tuesday is my birthday. It’s nothing to be excited about however, but we might venture out for tea, I wanted a convoy to Geelong to go out, but I just don’t have the money right now. I’m planning to get to Geelong Friday and spend down there until Monday, I’m going to enroll myself into a distance education course, and I’m defiantly going to uni next year, even though I’m meant to be going to Ireland it’s nothing I’m in a rush to do, and if Liz hasn’t particularly got time to catch up or let me finish the end of my sentences before she rushes out to see slut face then how will she ever have time for a trip to Ireland. I got my priorities sorted and I’d much rather be paying a mortgage then paying off an Ireland trip debt, because face it, no matter how hard I save I’m still going to have to finance my trip the flights are a bitch! and getting my parents to pay is like signing away my life, if my parents are going to get me out of every financial problem I have in life then there’s not point living, I like the feeling of accomplishing things myself, NOT my parents, ever ever ever. and I hope I stay way stubborn about that. Even though it would be nice.

So if I stop being slack and have some driving lessons I can finally get(well at least attempt) going for my license. It would be nice, however I’m not overly confident. I keep avoiding doing my tax, I don’t know why but when we got bought out the new company taxed me a bitch load more then what they should of, apparently…I have no idea, I do absolutely not get tax at all.

Anyway, I’m out please cross fingers and toes and whatever else you can cross and give me all your lucky charms and methods for me to get a new job, asap, preferably full time. I don’t care. I’m sick of doing nothing!

I don’t know how people go out every weekend, I did three weekends in a row, not to long ago at the same place every second persons at, 21 arms. Not only is it ever so repeating, but there is always at least one person there that infuriates me. I’d rather save my money for something better, when I find that something better I’ll let you know but, for right now I’m mega content on being warm inside with a good book and my boy not so far away. I guess there is only so much you can take of going out, and I’ve had my fair share of that cake.
